About Computers and their maintainance

Computers are the engines that can be used to produce amazing results if used well by the users. We had an interview with Zak Jakoyo and Dacon Omondi who see to it that the machines at Nairobits work effectively.

Jakoyo and Dacon.

Jakoyo is the founder of Quest network technology that deals with:

• Computer support and maintenance
• IT consultations
• Repairs and supplies of computer parts

Quest started its operation in 2007 with Nairobits as his first client, and has experienced growth due to their excellent services, effective solutions at Client Zone, honesty and time keeping and this has led to high demand from clients. Due to his effective services, Nairobits has helped him get more clients which include The Godown Arts center, Sarakasi Trust, Media Focus among many other Companies he has worked for. His growth has enabled him to create more opportunities for the youth and currently he has five employees.

Amazingly, he has great ideas of creating opportunity for Nairobits students, through starting an E-marketing department in the company which will offer solutions to his network of clients. He gave us a glimpse of some basic computer maintenance tips that an individual has to know to avoid common user initiated problems:

• Basic operation of an operating system
• Basic trouble shooting principles
• Computer servicing i.e. Blowing of dust
• Upgrading of your computer
• Having a clean work station
• Performing a full Computer Scan

He is so delighted to work with Nairobits and his last words …determination, honesty, proper time keeping, following instructions and working hard are the keys to success.
