My stay at NairoBits

The Bloggers are happy to present to you a new article on ‘My stay at Nairobits’ which will be an exclusive on everything that happens here at The Go down Art Center. This is the column where you will find all the experiences, challenges and lessons learnt from the students while they are in Nairobits design school.

Charles Kigotho

A second born in a family of three children, and brought up by a single mother. Am 19 years old, living in Kahawa west? Currently am a student at Nairobits school of design, course one.


Before I joined the institution I had cleared high school (2008) and was perfecting my skills in paintings, graphics, drawing and designing clothes (t-shirts, jeans..) I also worked as peer educator for F.H.O.K (Family Health Options Kenya) which is my mother organization.


Mercy Adhiambo

She is nineteen years old and a fourth born in a family of six children. "Life has never been the same after my dad died four years ago, but through God’s grace we have managed it. I did my exams last year and performed well a
nd my hope is that I will join University come next year.

Am very happy that my hard work, paved way for an opportunity to acquire ICT skills in Nairobits School of design. As it has always been my dream, to be a web designer,am positive that I will work even harder to achieve my goal.
I am glad to have entrepreneurial skills, plus I can design posters, business cards and Compact Disk (CD) covers.
I have a long way to go whilst still here in Nairobits, so join me in this journey of digital world. "

From the 24th march, we will be showcasing our progress since we joined Nairobits. All are welcomed !!
